I've worked in computer science field for many years and enjoy researching a wide range of topics, including medicine, microbiology, chemistry, physics, and other subjects to satisfy my curiosity. I've traveled to many countries in Asia and Europe and would love to spend vacation on a tropical island with paradise-like nature simple and quiet living in on the Island Beach. I am researching Daoism, also spelled Taoism, is a philosophical and spiritual tradition that has its roots in ancient China. Daoism emphasizes several key principles and concepts: 1. The Dao (Tao) : The central concept of Daoism is the "Dao" or "Tao," which can be translated as the "Way" or "Path." The Dao is the fundamental, unnameable, and ineffable principle that is the source of everything. It is the natural order of the universe and the way things naturally flow. Daoists seek to align themselves with the Dao and live in harmony with it. 2. Wu Wei : Wu Wei, often translated as "non-action" or "effortless action," is a central Daoist principle. It does not mean complete inactivity but rather refers to acting in accordance with the Dao, without unnecessary effort or resistance. It is about going with the flow and not forcing things. 3. Balance and Harmony : Daoism emphasizes the importance of balance and harmony in all aspects of life. This includes balancing opposing forces (yin and yang), balancing physical and spiritual aspects, and seeking harmony with nature and the universe. 4. Nature and Simplicity : Daoists often look to nature as a source of wisdom and inspiration. They value simplicity and naturalness and believe that living in accordance with nature leads to greater well-being. 5. Yin and Yang : Daoism incorporates the concept of yin and yang, representing the dualistic nature of the universe. Yin is associated with qualities like darkness, passivity, and receptivity, while yang is associated with qualities like light, activity, and assertiveness. Balance between these opposing forces is crucial for health and harmony. 6. Immortality and Longevity : Some Daoist traditions include practices and beliefs related to immortality and longevity. These practices often involve meditation, breathing exercises, and herbal remedies aimed at extending life or achieving spiritual immortality. 7. Inner Alchemy (Neidan) : Daoism includes the practice of inner alchemy, where individuals seek to transform and refine their inner energies (qi or chi) to attain spiritual enlightenment and longevity. 8. Simplicity of Living : Daoists advocate a simple and modest lifestyle, free from excess and materialism. This simplicity is believed to bring inner peace and contentment. 9. Mysticism and Meditation : Daoist practices often include meditation and mystical experiences aimed at gaining insight into the nature of reality and the Dao. 10. Anarchic and Anti-authoritarian Themes : Some Daoist texts contain themes of resistance to authority and a preference for decentralized, natural governance. The Dao De Jing, one of the most famous Daoist texts, contains passages that question the value of rigid social structures. Daoism is a diverse tradition with various branches and practices, and not all Daoists adhere to the same beliefs and principles. It has had a significant influence on Chinese culture, including traditional Chinese medicine, martial arts, and philosophy.

My name is Ira Proctor. One day, a few years ago I woke up inside. I felt connected to the world and everyone in it... and I realized how much I loved living life and how I was squandering my time. I began to work on myself inside and outside. This is work that continues today. I hope I can find my love and we can continue to improve together. Please read what I wrote. I am not a good match for everyone, but I know that with a certain type of person I will be matched perfectly. I wish you all very good luck and to be happy. If you are interested in my please either send a message or you can simply ❤️ my profile so I know. I am much more likely to write if you hit the ❤️ button and I can see you viewed my profile. I'm sorry this is so long, but I think it is best. This way you can know something more real about who I am than a few pictures and can say. Better we are always honest, so real choices can be made. I do not smoke. I do not have gambling trouble. I do not drink any alcohol. I don't mind a woman who enjoys alcohol. I just choose not to have any. I can no be a match with someone who smokes. The smell is too bad. I love to learn and am very curious about many subjects. Science and history are fascinating. I love to watch educational programs, documentaries, and I enjoy reading of all kinds of books. I enjoy cooking very much. Also exercise, nature, hiking, gardening, swimming, basketball, and riding bicycle. I enjoy travel, but I love being home most of all. I do not want to find a woman and then go out from the home and be away from her. I want to find someone that likes to spend time with me and I can spend my time with her. I've become very interested in meditation and healing plants. I especially like to grow cacti and mushrooms. Thru these practices I've gone from a life long atheist to someone who has a deep spirituality (not a religion). The easiest way to express this in words is to say I now deeply feel and experience the oneness of everything, that our separateness from each other is an illusion, everyone and everything is one. We're like waves on the ocean that think they are separate, but if the waves look closer they see they're all part of the same ocean and all created from the same energy. We are much more than we know and we are all connected to everything. We are not living in the universe, we ARE the universe in one of the many forms it takes.
