I desire a long-term relationship. I consider myself lucky for the relationships that I have experienced. From life’s challenges, I have learned to preserve relationships, by not being overly attached to expectations. I believe the glass is half full, not half empty. As an engineer, I remembered office mates joking that an engineer does not regard the glass as half full or half empty, but twice as big as it needs to be. In life, I know the glass often appears inflated, and is really fuller than previously thought. I like Hot springs, Museums, Festivals, Stage productions (especially comedies), The Nutcraker ballet, River boat cruises, Farm fields during harvest, Concerts, Dance floors anywhere (especially in other countries), Most music with the exception of punk rock, Home-Made ice cream. (I have my own hand-crank machine). Love the old romantic films like "Casa Blanca," and "I Know Where I Am Going." I am a seeker who tries to improve my outlook on life from classical writings. Since retirement, I have trained to be a better ball-room dancer. The first attached picture is with a trophy from a dance competition in July, 2021. All pictures are the last 2 years except the last from several years ago; that is, before I grew a beard during COVID isolation. I live in the Washington DC region.
